Really I just should have posted a picture of my house for this one, but since that would have been cheating, I opted to do an illustration. This is a spin off of last week's Illustration Friday entry. Instead of memories being filed away, this represents all of the clutter that gets built up in the mind over time. Useless facts, phone numbers that are no longer used, but can't be forgotten, advertisement jingles, etc., etc. Sometimes I think this "mind clutter" takes up useful storage space from new information streaming in, and that's why I forget so much. If only this clutter could be cleaned out to make room for more important information, data I actually want to remember. If only...

ReplyDeleteI never can wait for your IF entries Nessa. What great ideas!
ReplyDeleteReally great idea! I like all the textures you've used for the clutter.
ReplyDeleteI think this is such a great illustration. I think this, together with your piece from last week, are the start of a great series! Really well done. Super creative and perfectly executed. I love the feel of both of them. I'll be checing back to see future entries. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI hope it is part of a series too. As usual I love the color choices and the dust. It represents just what you described
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was an elf trying to clean up in the midst of Christmas. I get the mind clutter though too. Really wonderful
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading! Do you think I have enough blogs? One of these days (once house and dental school are over) I can pare it down and just have one. I enjoy your art and pics of A&F and always, always the conversations with Finn. Not that Audrie doesn't have anything interesting to say....
ReplyDeletehehehe I love the comment "take a picture of my house" I think most of us can relate to that, but I think your illustration it much more creative and should I say deliberate. I don't think any of us mean the clutter it just happens.. Love your art very expressive :)
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
Steph
