Finnanigans

Audrie: Finn, when you grow up I’m going to tell you how you used to like to play with Barbies.

Finn: Yeah, and I want to play with Barbie castles, too!

Mom, do you know what keeps me up at night?

Halo. Halo keeps me up at night. I just hear dad playing Halo and my brain won’t let my eyes close.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mom, can you just be quiet for a little bit because I’m going to be doing my Karate moves over here.

Finn: MiMi, I’m going to bring my money to school to get something from the snack machines.

[Later] MiMi: Finn, did you get your money for the vending machines?

Finn: No.

MiMi: Why not?

Finn: I’m just going to use yours.

Me: Finn, do you want me to paint a big map on your walls with pirate ships in the water and cowboys on the land?

Finn: Yes, and I want me fighting the cowboys.

Me: Oh, you want me to paint you as a cowboy, fighting the bandits?

Finn: No, I want me as a pirate fighting the cowboys. And I want me flying an airplane, and me on the moon, and me as a police officer, and some Halo guys, and a robot, and a rocket ship.

Finn: Mom, can you read this word I wrote?

spanish

[I read it to the best of my ability]

Finn: Oh, wow! That’s Spanish! See, I’m teaching you how to read Spanish.

I love hearing from you all, so comment away! I will do my best to respond, but if I haven't, it's probably because I'm teaching my kids, or am knee deep in paint, or have lost my mind.
