My love turns 30 today. He’s trying to skip this birthday altogether. I won’t let him only because I know I’m next on the list for leaving my twenties, and it’s only fair that he gets there first. :)

Us
My daughter took these pictures. We were trying to get her to cheer up after having an upsetting moment during our Christmas portrait session. Keep in mind that I [with my lovely hairdo] was supposed to be behind the camera taking pictures, while Jonathan [with his Christmas beard] was supposed to be entertaining from behind the camera. Somehow we ended up with matching outfits. I don’t know if my dear husband secretly plans these things, or it’s completely coincidental, but this happens…quite often…and it’s embarrassing, especially when I’m wearing a dress. Just kidding, I don’t wear dresses.
Unfortunately, this didn’t cheer my daughter up. I think it scared her. It took her much sillier brother to do the trick. But at least now we have some fabulous pictures of us to put around the house!

Reaching For The Sun
Aren't these tulips beautiful? They were a gift from my husband. They weren't given to me as a birthday present, or for our anniversary, or as an "I'm sorry I said you look fat in those jeans, please love me again" gift. These were given to me at 3AM on a Friday because Jonathan hadn't been home much all week. Basically he had been working hard, having to stay late at the office, missing out on family time to provide for me and the kids......and I get a gift. Does that make any sense?
What a beautiful man, both inside and out. I love him bunches. He deserves much.
