Merry Christmas To All....

Here's my attempt at a Christmas card, not through the mail this year, as I had hoped, but still, it's posted on my blog on the eve of Christmas. Doesn't that count for something? I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed in myself for not getting Christmas cards mailed out. I didn't even get a picture of my kids in their Christmas outfits together and get those printed off for the grandparents. Our star is at home, sitting on our table, waiting to be placed atop the tree. AND, I still haven't bought my husband a gift! I've been feeling a little sad knowing that Christmas snuck up on me this year, and I haven't really slowed down enough to enjoy it. It's easy to get swept up in the busyness of the season and forget to take into account the true meaning of Christmas. It's not about having my cards sent out on time, or giving and receiving presents, or snapping that perfect picture, or placing the star on top of the tree before the 25th. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the ultimate gift. I don't ever want to get so caught up in Christmas that I leave out Christ.
To all of you, wherever you are, I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

With much love,

Nessa Dee
