I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. We spent the weekend with my husband's family to celebrate the occasion, and while I tried to get a "Mother's Day post" ready before we left, I ran out of time. So, to all the Mom's out there, Happy belated Mom's Day! I hope your day was filled with joy! And speaking of joyous occasions, the offspring that have forever labeled me as a mom are staying with my in-laws until Friday. (I'm doing a little jig right now if you can't see me.) Anytime the kids stay with family, I try to take advantage of the free time to get a few things done. Here's my list for the week (written in bright colors on a neon yellow piece of paper so I can't ignore it unless I hide it under the bed which is where it is at the moment):

I ran out of room before I could finish. The list also includes "sew decorative trim to living room curtains, clean the whole house including dusting, sew curtains for breakfast room, make a quilt, run a marathon, and on and on and on....." Okay, I might be a little ambitious given that I only have 3 days to finish everything and I'm wasting all of my time writing this blog post. I tend to do this a lot....you know, have too many things to accomplish in a short amount of time so much so that I start a bunch of projects and don't finish any of them and I don't get to mark them off my list which is the most satisfying part of getting things done. If I was more realistic, I would write "Finish 1 illustration for Feathers" "Pick 1 closet and clean it out." But who am I kidding. If I'm being
truly honest with myself, this is what my list would look like if I really want the satisfaction of marking things off:

I like this list. It's going up on my fridge.
