Self Portrait

This is what I look like at the moment. I have been flattened by a measly summer cold. Though I've been wearing my painting pants everyday this week in the hopes of getting some painting done, all I've been able to bring myself to do is sketch and stuff my face full of carbs. 

But, I'm on the mend, so maybe tomorrow when I put my painting pants on, I'll actually add new colors to them...maybe.

Agatha

Just a little digital sketch I did yesterday. I named her Agatha because I think she looks like an Agatha, and I love the name Agatha, and had my third child been a girl, that child would probably have been christened Agatha. I don't why she's sad, but perhaps I can cheer her up today when I'm sketching.

It's hard to find time these days to allow myself to explore with art. The time I do have to create is usually dedicated to specific projects. But I relish the moments when I sit down and draw with no real purpose other than to play. This little digital doodle was just that. I'm still not very confident in Photoshop, but as with anything, it gets easier the more I do it.

Now if only I was able to explore without the constant interruptions of a very loud two year old.
