Easter

Well, I’m off to visit family for Easter, and see my kiddos. They’ve been at their grandparents’ house for the week. It’s ridiculous how lost I feel when they’re gone.

I can’t wait to kiss these freckles:

freckles

and nibbles these toes:

tiptoes

and pinch these cheeks:

tent1

and cut this hair:

pose

I’m going to be a mess when the leave the nest.

Before I go to our Easter extravaganza weekend, I want to leave you with a quote from one of my favorite authors. In all of the excitement, the egg hunts, the chocolate, new dresses, visiting family, it’s so easy to lose the meaning of this celebration. I don’t want to forget the sacrifice that Jesus made.

"He died not for men, but for each man. If each man had been the only man made, He would have done no less."
C.S. Lewis

This boggles my mind. But, it’s this sacrifice that reveals His great love for us.

Happy Easter.
